Home Destinations Port Douglas
Nearly a decade of quiet love. Since 2016 we have quietly helped couples step away from the big traditional wedding and simply be present — first across New Zealand, and now in the golden beauty of Australia. Every elopement is thoughtfully designed, calmly run, and beautifully remembered.

A place that doesn’t perform, it remembers.

Few places on earth let two World Heritage wonders share a single horizon, yet here the Great Barrier Reef lies offshore while the ancient Daintree presses in from behind, with the long curve of Four Mile Beach stitched between them. Port Douglas wears its wildness lightly, a small tropical town where the rainforest comes down to meet the sea and the days move to the rhythm of the tide. Couples come north for exactly this: a wedding held inside a landscape that feels older and larger than any room could ever be.

For couples drawn to a wedding that feels less like an event and more like a moment carved into the landscape itself, Port Douglas is where it begins. A few of our most-loved ceremonies have happened here: barefoot on the quiet sand of Four Mile Beach at first light, beneath a flowering arbour in a palm-shaded tropical garden, on a headland where the rainforest runs down to the sea. The decision is never about choosing ‘small’. It’s about choosing what matters.

Three ways to say I do in Port Douglas.

A coastline designed for love.

Six quiet reasons couples keep choosing Port Douglas: the geography, the warmth, the unspoken privilege of standing somewhere very few people ever stand.

01

Where Reef Meets Rainforest

Port Douglas is one of the only places on earth where two World Heritage areas meet, the reef offshore and the Daintree at its back, glowing gold at sunrise and amber at dusk.

02

Four Mile Beach

The long, palm-fringed curve of Four Mile Beach lies calm and bright on still mornings, a quiet sweep of sand that mirrors the sky behind your vows.

03

Year-Round Ceremony Weather

Port Douglas’ tropical climate gives us warm, reliable days through most of the year, gentle dry-season mornings and long, golden afternoons. Every month has a postcard to offer.

04

Golden Hour Magic

The coast and the light conspire here. Late afternoon turns soft and copper for almost an hour, long enough for vows, kisses, and a slow wander along the sand before sunset.

05

The Daintree at Your Back

Just up the coast the ancient Daintree rainforest meets the sea at Cape Tribulation, a deep, green world of ceremony settings unlike anywhere else.

06

Tropical Garden Ceremonies

Around the village, sheltered gardens bloom with frangipani, palms and native blossom, a naturally beautiful ceremony aisle no council could ever plant.

Planning Timeline

From first hello to “I do”.

From the first message in your inbox to the moment your ring catches the morning light over Four Mile Beach, your day moves through four quiet steps. Every detail is held by us, you only have to arrive.

01
Enquire & dream together

A long, no-pressure conversation about who the two of you are, what you don’t want, and the moment you’d quietly choose.

02
We sketch your day

We draft a bespoke sketch with three location options, a celebrant we trust, and a photographer whose work makes you feel something.

03
We hold every thread

Bouquet, licence, witnesses, weather contingencies, the dinner reservation, the surprise. Every thread, carried so you don’t have to.

04
You simply arrive

And the day unfolds the way the best days always do, gently, exactly itself, and over far too quickly.

“We came to Port Douglas thinking we’d booked a wedding. What we got was an entire morning of our lives placed gently in someone else’s hands, and a photograph we’ll grow old underneath.”
