Nearly a decade of quiet love. Since 2016, Eloping Weddings has helped couples leave the noise of the big traditional wedding behind and stand still in wild, sun-drenched beauty — first across New Zealand, and now in Australia. Every elopement is thoughtfully designed, calmly run, and beautifully remembered.

A landscape that doesn't perform, it remembers.

Australia isn't a backdrop; it's a co-conspirator. From the golden curve of a Sunshine Coast beach to the green hush of the Byron hinterland, this country turns ordinary days into love stories. The air here carries something the rest of the world has misplaced: space, light, the slow drama of the seasons.

For couples drawn to a wedding that feels less like an event and more like a moment carved into the landscape itself, Australia is where it begins. A few of our most-loved ceremonies have happened here: barefoot on a hidden cove at first light, beneath a flowering gum in a quiet hinterland garden, two minutes after the helicopter touched down on a windswept clifftop. The decision is never about choosing 'small'. It's about choosing what matters.

Three ways to say I do in Australia.

A landscape designed for love.

Six quiet reasons couples keep choosing Australia: the geography, the weather, the unspoken privilege of standing somewhere very few people ever stand.

01

Endless Coastline

From headlands to hidden coves, Australia's coast frames every ceremony, glowing gold at sunrise and soft rose at dusk.

02

Still-Water Mornings

On calm mornings the bays and inlets mirror the sky so completely you can stand at the water's edge and feel like you're walking on a quiet bowl of clouds.

03

Year-Round Ceremony Weather

Australia's warm climate gives us long, generous seasons: blue-sky winters, golden autumns, balmy summers and bloom-thick springs. Every month has a postcard to offer.

04

Golden Hour Magic

Light lingers here, soft and copper, late into the afternoon, long enough for vows, kisses, and a wander before sunset.

05

Secluded Access

We hold quiet relationships with private beaches, jetties and garden estates, small corners of the country reachable only with us.

06

Wildflower Ceremonies

In season, the coastal heath and hinterland meadows bloom with native wildflowers, an entirely natural ceremony aisle no council could ever plant.

Planning Timeline

From first hello to "I do".

From the first message in your inbox to the moment your ring catches the morning light over the water, your day moves through four quiet steps. Every detail is held by us, you only have to arrive.

01
Enquire & dream together

A long, no-pressure conversation about who the two of you are, what you don't want, and the moment you'd quietly choose.

02
Choose your ceremony style

We draft a bespoke sketch with three location options, a celebrant we trust, and a photographer whose work makes you feel something.

03
We handle every detail

Bouquet, licence, witnesses, weather contingencies, the dinner reservation, the surprise. Every thread, carried so you don't have to.

04
Your day unfolds naturally

And the day unfolds the way the best days always do: gently, exactly itself, and over far too quickly.

"We came to Australia thinking we'd booked a wedding. What we got was an entire morning of our lives placed gently in someone else's hands, and a photograph we'll grow old underneath."
